I must say, we were all very excited when we saw that Forrester had recently mentioned us. It was an infographic/presentation that Jay McBain put together called the "Channel Software Tech Stack (2019)". We were one of the 106 companies highlighted across 6 categories.
Jay defines "Channel Software Tech Stack" as, "a group of technologies that brands leverage to manage and improve their indirect sales processes and partner programs. Often, the focus of channel technologies is to make difficult processes easier, automate workflows, measure multi-tier activities, and drive more efficient spending, coverage, and partner communication".
The category we were highlighted in was called "Channel Enablement", which is defined as supporting "partner development through the administration, tracking, and delivery of educational training courses and enablement resources, including learning management systems, accreditation and certification management, content management systems, partner portals, communities, and sales enablement".
There were 90 key operational attributes that he used to define the 6 different categories. This included everything from "helping with objectives and goals" under the Strategy & Design category to "partner nurturing" under the Channel Enablement category. Jay explains that there isn't one company that covers all, or even most, of these attributes. He does see this changing during the next few years because development of new features is becoming more aggressive and more money is flowing into the sector.
We are delighted to be apart of that changing landscape.
One thing he doesn't mention is that our Digital Business Technology Platform, dpEngine, is the only end-to-end, out-of-the-box solution that gives you the ability to create, manage, and scale your developer, partner, AND marketplace ecosystems all under one roof.
So we have that going for us. Which is nice.
