CNH Industrial is a global leader in capital goods with brands that include New Holland, Case, and Iveco. Through these brands, CNH manufactures agricultural and construction equipment, trucks, commercial vehicles, and specialized vehicles for fire fighting and military applications. Case IH, one of CNH’s agricultural brands, also provides APIs, SDKs, and plugins that their customers can use to control, convert, or interact with their agronomic data. These various forms of data transfer and manipulation lead CNH to form partnerships with other third-party companies like AgDNA, Cropio, Farmers Edge, and the Farmers Business Network (FBN).
In an effort to help producers optimize their operations, CNH launched their Developer Portal where companies can find the tools to create connections for software services. This new developer ecosystem was built using developerprogram.com’s Digital Business Technology Platform, dpEngine.
As stated in their press release published on February 13th, 2019:
“The CNH Industrial Developer Portal allows companies to establish secure agronomic data exchange for the convenience of their customers who own and manage Case IH farm equipment. The site serves as the entry point for companies requesting online application program interface or offline methods of data exchange.”
dpEngine gives CNH and Case IH the power to attract, recruit, advance, and retain developers so that their new ecosystem can grow and thrive. With dpEngine’s automation workflows and approval processes, developers are able to register, develop, test, and launch applications using CNH’s AG Data APIs. This new ecosystem of developers will allow CNH and Case IH to expand the reach of their agronomic data; making it more useful for other partner companies and the producers that use it every day.
Kirk Wesley, Case IH Advanced Farming Systems marketing manager, said of the CNH Industrial Developer Portal: “Case IH is creating a digital ecosystem for producers to more efficiently and more securely manage their data. These partnerships advance our longstanding data-based focus on agronomy and machine optimization for the Case IH brand and its customers.”
